UltraTech Cement receives approval for mining project

UltraTech Cement has received approval for its limestone mining project in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The company plans to invest INR600m (US$9.4m) to mine a 632ha area, with a production capacity of 2.07Mta. Eagle Cement breaks ground on Cebu Line 4

Eagle Cement Corp has broken ground on the fourth production line at its Cebu plant. The Cebu Line 4 is set for completion in 2020 and will include a 2Mta integrated cement plant, port facilities and cement terminals to serve the islands of Visayas and Mindanao. Arif Habib Group has said that it is going to invest PKR25bn (US$238.5m) in a new cement plant to be completed in the next two years, to be operated by its subsidiary Power Cement.
